- 300gr. old white bread without crust
- 500ml. warm milk
- 200 grams. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 package vanilla sugar
- 1 package vanilla pudding powder (46gr.)
- rind of 1 orange
- 1tsp baking powder
- 500gr. apples
Method of preparation:
- Soak the bread in the milk and stir with a fork until a homogeneous mixture.
- Apples, peeled and cleaned divide into 2 equal parts, one part cut into small cubes, the other thin slices.
- Divide the eggs whites and yolks and beaten whites of the snow.
- Add all products as bread with apple cubes.
- Finally add the egg whites carefully.
- Pour mixture into a buttered 24cm. form with movable walls and arrange the apple slices on top.
- Bake in a preheated 150 degree oven for about 45-60min.
- Serve cake dusted with powdered sugar.
