Ingredients:
  •   300gr. old white bread without crust
  •   500ml. warm milk
  •   200 grams. sugar
  •   4 eggs
  •   1 package vanilla sugar
  •   1 package vanilla pudding powder (46gr.)
  •   rind of 1 orange
  •   1tsp baking powder
  •   500gr. apples

Method of preparation:

  1.    Soak the bread in the milk and stir with a fork until a homogeneous mixture.
  2.    Apples, peeled and cleaned divide into 2 equal parts, one part cut into small cubes, the other thin slices.
  3.    Divide the eggs whites and yolks and beaten whites of the snow.
  4.    Add all products as bread with apple cubes.
  5.    Finally add the egg whites carefully.
  6.    Pour mixture into a buttered 24cm. form with movable walls and arrange the apple slices on top.
  7.    Bake in a preheated 150 degree oven for about 45-60min.
  8.    Serve cake dusted with powdered sugar.
